We left our host Marko Thursday, October 23, and Croatia after a few hours. After a stamp on our passports, we discover the country little by little. They have no currency (use the euro without being part of the euro zone…) and only have 650,000 inhabitants (see our country profile).

… all means are good to travel. But we still prefer the bike! After leaving Ancona, the city with different facets (its very cosmopolitan port and station districts, the old historic center, and the very “trendy” modern center), we slowly discovered Croatia.

This week in brief: we crossed Italy from west to east, saw beautiful Tuscany, suffered our first nervous breakdowns.

A little over a year ago, we were cycling on a Roman road, Via Claudia Augusta, and Thomas proposed to me. For our honeymoon start, we are once again on an old Roman road: Via Aurelia.
